Yes, I bought a cruise on Groupon once. One of the benefits of living in Florida is that all of the cruise ports are no more than a few hours away. So when I saw a cruise for $199 to Grand Bahama I thought, why not? We had never been there, it was only two nights, and it looked pretty. So we went.
Our boat.
The cruise ship was a little outdated. It smelled like a nursing home in the hallways and didn’t have much entertainment. The food wasn’t great, but it wasn’t terrible either. The outlets were not compatible with my hair dryer or my curling iron, but we spent most of our time swimming so it didn’t really matter.
Our day excursion was in Freeport, Grand Bahama. We chose to spend the day at the Grand Lucayan Resort and it was so beautiful. They served us lunch and then we had the day to relax in the sun. We chose an area by the infinity pool because the view was so gorgeous.
The Grand Lucayan Resort.
You can kind of tell where the pool ends and the ocean begins.
Lots of good photo-ops.
We walked around by the port before we had to get back on the ship and found this little hole in the wall bar. We couldn’t believe our eyes when we saw what was hanging on the wall inside!
Go Buffalo Bills!
We had one of my favorite island beers, Kalik, and then headed back on the ship for the night-long cruise back to the States.
