London’s Cheese Conveyor Belt Restaurant, Pick & Cheese

One of my favorite experiences in London was Pick & Cheese, a cheese conveyor belt restaurant in Seven Dials Food Hall.

It’s a small cheese restaurant on the top floor of the food hall, primarily bar seating and a few booths. Once you sit down, you can immediately begin picking your cheese plates off the conveyor belt.

The servers give you a menu, so you can match the number on the plates to the cheese, and a pencil to keep track of what you like. The plates are color coded by price, so you won’t accidentally eat a £15 cheese when you mean to eat a £3.95 one.

Each piece has a pairing on the plate and they give you a basket of crackers to go with it.

When you’re finished with the plate, you set it in the dirty dish area and the server will pick it up. They keep track of how much cheese you eat, instead of letting the plates pile up.

They also have non-conveyor belt items on a regular menu, such as grilled cheese sandwiches and some desserts. I stuck to the conveyor belt cheese because it was so fun and delicious.

If you love cheese, a stop at Pick & Cheese while in London is a must. It’s very popular so reservations are highly recommended!
