Located on Regent’s Canal in London is the Cheese Barge, the sister restaurant to the cheese conveyor belt restaurant, Pick & Cheese, and down the canal from Word on the Water.
The Cheese Barge is a 96-foot double decker barge on the canal, with a main floor open year round and and upstairs terrace that is open from April until October.

They have a cheese-based menu (obviously) with a selection of boards, small plates, grilled cheese sandwiches, and desserts, along with fondue Thursdays.
We went in September so we sat on the upstairs terrace. It was a chilly, overcast day so we were the only people brave enough to sit up there. It ended up being the perfect weather to drink wine and eat cheese.
I asked out waiter to pick out a selection of cheeses, and he picked the perfect ones. All three were delicious.

At £14.25 for the cheese, it was on par with London prices. Even if you don’t love cheese like The Husband, it’s still a fun experience to enjoy a bite and a drink on a barge in the middle of London.
