Hotel Review: Epicurean Hotel Tampa

The Husband went all out for my 31st 21st birthday, with a weekend staycation in Tampa, trying all the places I’ve wanted to go to, but just hadn’t. My biggest surprise of the weekend was a stay at the Epicurean Hotel. I’ve been dying to stay there since I attended their open house, but since I live a few miles away I just hadn’t found a reason. Luckily the Husband found my birthday worthy of stay.

A little background on the Epicurean: it was opened by the brilliant people behind Tampa’s steakhouse gem, Bern’s. Not only does it have gorgeous rooms (more about that later) but it has a wine shop, an amazing restaurant, a sweet shop, a gorgeous spa and a breathtaking rooftop bar.  And if that isn’t enough, they also have the Epicurean Theatre, where you can take classes about everything gastronomic (I learned all about Hendrick’s Gin there).

So now you understand why I wanted to stay at my neighborhood hotel so bad. Apparently I’m not the only one who was swooned by the new hotel. Conde Nast Traveler put it on the 2014 Hot List of the Best New Hotels in the World. Good job Epicurean!

If that hasn’t convinced you to book a flight to Tampa right this second, then the gorgeous styling of the rooms will!

Ok, I seriously want my  house to look just like this!

The best part was the bathroom. From the door to the shower, it was one of my favorite hotel bathrooms. Not too trendy, not too open. It was perfect.

My master bathroom should look like this.

And, of course, no birthday is complete without macarons from Chocolate Pi.

Almost too pretty to eat!

Please, please, do yourself a favor stay here. You’ll thank me, I promise.
