The Salamander Spa at the Innisbrook Golf and Spa Resort is in the middle of a major rebranding. Formally known as the Indaba Spa, the Salamander Spa is a serene sanctuary located on the famous Copperhead course and it’s absolutely gorgeous!

It’s hard not to get really excited about the new Salamander Spa. You can feel the stress melt away the moment you walk in. The calming colors and fireplace practically beg you to sit down and relax. And this is just the reception area!
Notice the gorgeous sculpture behind the desk. It’s the first of many African pieces of art found throughout the spa.
I was treated to a tour of the spa with a group of local bloggers led by the spa director Deborah Berlingeri. She’s poised, elegant, and beautiful, and you can tell right away why she was chosen to run the new Salamander Spa. She passionately described the new spa services that are offered, including seasonal rituals that include locally sourced ingredients, such as essential oils and herbs. Each 80-minute treatment is tailored to the current season and includes a combination of massage, reflexology, facials, and body masking.
Every corner of the spa was meticulously planned and decorated. As much thought was put in to the locker room and lounge area as the treatment rooms.
If you’re a golf wife, you can relax in the spa while watching your man golf the Copperhead Course.

The couples/mother-daughter/BFF room is what dreams are made of. You and someone dear to your heart can enjoy massages, facials, champagne, a spa luncheon, and so much more in the couple’s massage room.

If the weather is right (which it often is in Tampa) you can open the doors to the treatment rooms and enjoy a nice breeze.
The next phase of renovation will be the outside maze area. It’s going to be replaced with a multilevel structure that will be perfect for yoga, meditation, or small, intimate gatherings, such as weddings.

And if the relaxing treatment rooms aren’t enough, your visit includes use of the sauna, Jacuzzi, and intimate seating areas found throughout the spa.
The lobby has a retail area where you can find some of the best spa products to take home with you. From their signature Salamander candle to lotions, scarves, and loungewear, there is something for everyone.
The Salamander Spa is a full service spa and salon and it’s open to the public! Anyone can book one of the treatments that the full service spa and salon offers. I can’t think of a better way to spend a day off than enjoying a massage, facial, and mani pedi in the gorgeous spa, and then getting a blow out and my makeup done at the salon. Forget the beach; that sounds like the perfect Tampa staycation!
