It’s no secret that I go back to WNY to visit A LOT. Every time I go, I eat at the same restaurants and drink at the same bars. Although all of the food is incredible (pizza, wings, garbage plates, beef on weck) I wanted a new place to go when I stay with family in Victor, NY.
Finally, it happened! New York Beer Project (NYBP) opened their second WNY location and it’s just a few miles from where I stay when I visit!
The building is gorgeous, even in the gloomy “winter” sky (it was April). The view when you walk in the door is incredible. So much attention to details!Trees in the middle of the dining room makes you feel like you’re in a biergarten without having to brave the WNY weather.Really open and bright, even on a gray day.
Of course, they have great beer. But they also have incredible cocktails!
How yummy does that cocktail look? (PS-you’d never know that this badass had her first chemo the day before!)Of course, I had a flight of their beers, and they were all really good!
What I wasn’t expecting was that the food was going to be so delicious! The menu is huge, with something for everyone! Honesty, it was very difficult to decide what to eat. Thankfully, I was with some lovely ladies who were willing to share their food with me!
The boom boom shrimp. NYBP play on bang bang shrimp but it was so much better! Lots of flavor with just the right amount of spice.Deconstructed chicken pot pie. Comfort food at its best!Speaking of comfort food, the cozy plate was just as comforting! Grilled cheese, tomato soup, sweet potato fries, and a dipping sauce that everyone went crazy for!One of their many delicious burgers. I’m not much of a red meat eater but I’m definitely getting a burger here next time!My fish fry. I went on a Friday during Lent, and WNYers take their Friday Fish very seriously.*requires no description*As if the giant, open bar and dining area wasn’t enough, there is a lovely upstairs area with a future rooftop patio.Upstairs setting area.
NYBP is a welcome addition to the bar and restaurant scene in Victor, NY. The staff was super friendly, the beer and cocktails were incredible (did I mention they also have margarita flights and martini flights?!?!) and the food was full of flavor and cooked perfectly.
If you’re in the area, make the trip to NYBP in Victor. If you’re closer to Buffalo, stop by their original location in Lockport, NY.
