Restaurant Review: Mini Doughnut Factory

It seems like everywhere I look lately someone is talking about Mini Doughnut Factory. Local bloggers are obsessed and friends and coworkers drive from all over Tampa Bay to get them. And yet in the four months they’ve been open I hadn’t made it over there until now and they’re my neighbor! I’m so ashamed.

And full of regret. That’s four months of mini deliciousness that I’ve been missing! Although I’m not a sweets person (I’ll take pizza or pasta over desserts any day) I can’t get over just how much I liked these doughnuts.

I think the key is the size and individuality. Like the name says, they are mini doughnuts. They are made fresh to order and you can choose from a bunch of different sauces and toppings.

Can we just pause for a minute and talk about the Factory Defibrillator? As a nurse, I especially appreciate this clever name for a cup full of caffeine!

Can you believe all of those different option? They even have gluten-free!

I ordered an assorted 16-pack. The options all sounded so good that I let Patrick, the owner, choose for me. Then I watched as his wife made my Mini Doughnuts. It’s so fun to watch your food being made. They’re like the sushi of doughnuts.

But you’re not reading this to see pictures of where they make the doughnuts. You want to see the doughnuts!

I mean, can you even? Have you ever seen something so beautiful? And unlike a lot of gorgeous things, they are just as fabulous on the inside!

The best part is that they are practically bite sized. Even if you don’t like doughnuts, you will love these. They are just the right bit of everything.
