Books & Books, Coral Gables

Books & Books in Coral Gables, FL, is the dreamiest book store. It’s rooms and rooms of beautiful books and shelves, with gorgeous ladders that I’d do anything to have. I love books so much and I want to live in a bookstore.

Just two of the rooms.

The courtyard doors have a read banned books theme, and I absolutely loved it. What I realized I don’t love are a lot of the books on the banned list. Unpopular opinion, but I don’t love Catcher in the Rye nor Lord of the Flies. To Kill a Mockingbird is one of my favorite books, though, so that makes up for it, right?

In the center of the bookstore is a courtyard with a bar and cafe. It was a surprisingly pleasant Miami evening, so we sat outside with the intentions of just having a glass of wine. But bottles were on special (half off for Wine Down Wednesday) so we split one instead.

That lead us to ordering food. The Husband had a quesadilla because he eats like a child (as you know if you’ve been here for a while). However, the chef made a random onion pizza that night and the bartender offered it as the special. It was incredible. It was sweet and oniony and just all around delightful, like French onion soup on a pizza.

If you’re in the Miami/Coral Gables area and love books, I highly recommend stopping by one of the Books & Books locations.
