Ballast Point Brewing’s Sculpin IPA is considered one of the best IPAs, so of course the Husband wanted to visit the brewery on our last trip to California. After seeing the view from the Long Beach brewery (there are six locations in California) I knew I wanted to go too.

The brewery is impressive from the moment you walk through the doors. There are multiple level, multiple seating areas, both inside and out.

Now, lets get to the beer. Of course the Husband started with the Sculpin and I started with the Pineapple Sculpin.

The good thing about a brewery like Ballast Point is that they have such a wide variety of types of beers. They have fruit beers, IPAs, blondes, tart, German, amber, and so on. This location also had a delicious sounding menu, so we split the spicy pastrami sandwich. It was huge and so delicious that I didn’t even think to take a picture of it!
If you find yourself in Long Beach, you have to check out Ballast Point Brewing!
