One of the best parts of getting married is the awesome family you gain (if you’re lucky). The Husband’s cousin and his wife live just outside of Laguna Beach and we went to visit for the Husband’s birthday. We had days and days of fun, but one of the best was our day in Laguna.

After having drinks and brunch, sis and I headed to the Aquaterra Spa at the Surf and Sand Resort while the boys drank/napped.
The spa was so beautiful and relaxing. The colors just soothed your worries and invited your mind to become as relaxed as your body.
I was having some back issues (nursing job + traveling = knots galore) so my therapist tailored by massage to what each area needed. Some spots needed pressure, some couldn’t tolerate it, and she knew exactly what to do. I’ve had many, many massages, and you can never truly relax if the therapist doesn’t pay attention to the cues your body is giving. She was amazing.
After I was relaxed and recharged, I got dressed and headed out to meet the rest of our group. But first, I checked out the little shop at the spa entrance. They had the cutest stuff! Worth checking out on it’s own.

The next time you’re in Laguna Beach (and if you’ve never been, you must go!), schedule some time for yourself at the Aquaterra Spa.
