Tampa Bay is located on a so many beautiful bodies of water; the Gulf of Mexico, Tampa Bay, and the Hillsborough River to name a few. Until recently, Tampa wasn’t taking full advantage of all of this water. Sure, we have great beaches but what about urban waterways?

As the Riverwalk in downtown Tampa grows, so does the need for water transportation. Luckily, we now have the Pirate Water Taxi! For $15 for an adult, $8 for children, you can ride up and down the Hillsborough River and hop on and off as you please. You’ll get a narrated tour where you’ll learn all sorts of facts about Tampa while hopping around to restaurants, bars, museums, and parks!
The Pirate Taxi runs seven days a week (weather pending of course), beginning at 10 am and running until 9 PM on weekdays, later on weekends. You can buy tickets online or onboard the taxi. They accept cash and credit cards.
