Airbnb Review: Florence, Italy

We picked an Airbnb in Florence, Italy, primary based on proximity to the train station. It was the end of our 7th month of traveling Europe and we were starting to get a little tired. We had been to Florence before and had a good idea of what we wanted to see. We found a two bedroom, two bathroom apartment that was perfect for what we were looking for.

The apartment was on the first floor (second floor for Americans) and had an elevator, so we didn’t have to carry our heavy luggage upstairs but we also didn’t have to wait for an elevator when we wanted to go out and about.

The apartment had a bedroom, open concept living room and kitchen, and full bath on the first floor. It was super spacious and comfortable. The kitchen was fully stocked (but I never used it), and the view was a quintessential Florence city view.

The upstairs bedroom and bathroom were small but functional. The bed was very loud and uncomfortable. We would have moved to the bedroom downstairs if I hadn’t already unpacked all my stuff all over the bed. But it wasn’t super terrible, and we made it work.

The location was perfect. There were tons of great restaurants and things to do within walking distance, including the Florence Christmas market. We were there November 18th to 23rd, and it was $1,261.79 total, which was hundreds of dollars cheaper than when we looked in June.
