I love books almost as much as I love traveling. I love to read, to collect books and stories, and to visit bookstores everywhere we go. I like to buy a book as a souvenir, usually The Little Prince in the native language of where I’m visiting or a book by a local. And I especially love unique bookstores.
Word on the Water in London is one of the most unique bookstores I’ve visited. It’s located on a boat in Regent’s Canal, near Coal Drops Yard and St Pancras station.

You can tell just how loved every single inch of the barge is. The books are laid out with care and it feels so homey, despite being a small boat. Plus there is a cute little doggo, which is always nice.

Once you pick our your bibliophile treasures, you head back outside to the check out area to purchase them. I went with a beautiful version of the British classic Peter Pan.

The Regents Canal Towpath is a great spot for a stroll in London, and Word on the Water is a must visit for all book lovers.
