Airbnb Review: Modern Flat near Oxford Street, London

For our third and final visit to London during our 2023 trip, we booked a modern flat near Oxford Street and Marble Arch. The host was the same host for the wonderful Notting Hill flat we stayed in for 6 weeks on our previous stop in London, and was in a great location to see the Christmas lights.

Kamal, the host, met us at the apartment. The elevator was out so he helped us carry our (very heavy) luggage up to the sixth floor. Luckily the elevator was only out for a day or so.

The building was very secure, with key fob entrance and concierge desk. The entire building was in the process of renovation, so it wasn’t the prettiest but it was safe and in a great location and that’s what really matters.

The flat was small but very functional. The open floor plan made it feel like it was bigger than it was and everything was very comfortable. The bedroom and bathroom were a good size for London. We wanted to eat at every restaurant we could before leaving Europe, so we didn’t do any cooking but the kitchen seemed fully stocked.

The location was perfect. It was a short walk to the tube, Hyde Park, and Oxford Street. We could easily travel around London, seeing all the Christmas lights and visiting everything we didn’t do on our previous visits.

At $1,452 it was a great deal for a centrally located flat. I would definitely stay here again.
