The London Natural History Museum is located in South Kensington, a short walk from the tube entrance. The main area of the museum is free to visit, but the rotating exhibits have a separate entry fee, and are available in limited quantities each day.
We only wanted to check out the main area so we stopped by as we were walking around the Kensington neighborhood. The building alone is worth seeing. The museum is housed in a gorgeous 19th century building.
The museum is full of incredible artifacts and science research is still a main focus. As a birder, I loved the bird section and being able to see birds that I’ll never see in real life (although I wish they weren’t dead).

There was so much to look at and to learn that I could have spent all day there. It’s absolutely worth visiting when in London.
