Restaurant Review: Jacuzzi, London, England

Like most cities, London has no shortage of Instagrammable restaurants. Jacuzzi, an Italian restaurant by one of the main restaurant groups in London, is full of dazzling colors and unique backdrops.

It wasn’t too far from our Airbnb in Notting Hill so we decided we might as well check it out. I’m usually conflicted about restaurants that become popular because of good Instagram photo ops. They are often overrated or extremely crowded, often both, rarely neither. But it has a 4.8/5 rating on Google reviews so off we went.

Although it’s known for its inside decor, it was beautiful from the outside as well. And very easy to find, which is always nice.

The inside was pretty spectacular. They definitely put a lot of effort and money into making the restaurant a showstopper.

We started with cocktails and focaccia while we waited for The Husband’s cousin to join us. At £14, the cocktails were pretty expensive for how small they were. The focaccia was fresh and so delicious. Definitely worth £4.50.

The Husband and his cousin (who works down the street from Jacuzzi) ordered pizza. It was good, but after traveling through Italy, the bar for a great pizza is pretty high. I had the lunch sized truffle pasta and it was delightful. I was a little disappointed that it wasn’t served in a pecorino wheel like the full sized option, but I was glad there was a smaller option.

The most interesting part of the whole restaurant was the bathroom. Like most European bathrooms, it was downstairs, but everything else about it was unusual. The stairway was like a disco club, and that theme carried into the bathrooms. The stalls were glass that turned slightly opaque when you locked them, but you could still see through them.

It was overpriced but if you are into unique decor or photo shoots, it’s worth going to.
