Restaurant Review: Strangebird Brewery, Rochester, NY

If you read my post about BriteSmith, you know that The Husband is a master at finding new places. Strangebird Brewery in Rochester, NY, was yet another one of his great finds.

We headed there for lunch on a free afternoon during our latest visit to WNY. We were equally excited to try the food and the beer, and were not disappointed.

I tried the Birdy Cream (love a cream ale) and the Ready for Takeoff hefeweizen and they were both pretty good.

For lunch, we did our usual and split a chicken sandwich and a pizza. The fried chicken sandwich was alright. The Husband really liked it but I’m pretty picky about chicken (well, any meat actually. I’m constantly toeing the line of vegetarianism).

The inside decor was the best part. It was the perfect cross of minimalist and funky, with gorgeous copper features and super fun murals.

The staff was all super nice too. The bartender was super knowledgeable and helpful with both the beer and the food menu, and they even cut the sandwich in half since we were sharing it.

Strangebird is a great addition to Rochester and I’m sure we’ll be back when we’re in WNY next.
