Ready Steady Yeti Go Ticket Giveaway!

I love going to the theatre. I love the excitement in the crowd, the hush as the curtain rises, even the thrill of scoring tickets to the hottest shows of the year (Hamilton, I’m talking to you!). Back when I lived in New York I would go to the half-price ticket window and see anything that was available. I saw good plays and I saw terrible plays. And I loved every one of them. Every play has a different lesson to learn, a different passion to feel.

This is why I’m so excited to give away 2 tickets to Stageworks Theatre’s first production of the year, Ready Steady Yeti Go

This play is especially important and socially relevant, like most of the productions at Stageworks. Ready Steady Yeti Go examines the aftermath of a hate crime and focuses on bullying, racism, personal safety, and parent/child relationships. It’s charming yet heartbreaking, and shows what can happen when assumptions are made and sacrifices are necessary in the name of love and family.

At it’s heart though it is an uplifting story about young star-crossed lovers wrapped in a satire with a healthy streak of political commentary

One of my favorite parts of this production is the inclusion of young actors from Blake High School’s magnet program of the arts! I absolutely love when people, especially young adults, get the opportunity to do something they love. It gives them a positive, creative outlet to express themselves and it makes me all warm and fuzzy inside!

Are you as inspired as I am to make 2019 the year of theatre? Good thing I have 2 tickets to any not-sold-out show to give away! To enter, comment below why you want to see Ready Steady Yeti Go. Winner will be picked tomorrow, Wednesday, February 6th. Winner must provide full name and email to pick up tickets at will call.

Disclaimer: The tickets were provided to me, but my opinion is all my own. And sometimes the Husband’s.

  1. We are raising 2 teens currently and my partner and I both love the theater. Perfect match for a date night..

  2. I enjoy theatre but have unfortunately been unable to go to a show recently and would really enjoy the opportunity to experience a show like this.
